Scanner tour
How a shop phone logs empties: link the phone, open a bag, scan each barcode, finish and save, and carry on when there's no signal.

Narrator: This is the CheersEmpties scanner, shown on a made-up demo shop. First, link the shop phone to your account. One tap, and it shows which shop it sends to. Before you take empties back, open a bag. The scanner numbers it for you. Each bag keeps its own number, so you can match it up when it is collected. When a customer brings empties, scan each barcode, with the camera or a handheld scanner. The refund adds up as you go: 20p a container. Tap finish and save. The screen tells you how much to give the customer. Every return is saved with the time and the bag, ready for your records. No signal? Keep scanning. Finished returns wait on the phone and send themselves when you're back online. That's the scanner. Access is coming soon, so register your interest on the CheersEmpties website.

Owner dashboard tour
What an owner sees: the overview, your own count, each shop, bags, staff training, phones and export.

Narrator: This is the CheersEmpties owner dashboard, for the same made-up demo shops. The overview shows returns, items taken back, deposits refunded and expected handling fees, at a glance. Choose the dates you want, from a single day to a whole month. It keeps your own count, ready to check against the scheme's statement once that's published. If the numbers ever differ, you have your own records to show. Run more than one shop? Each one gets its own row. Bags shows every bag: open, sealed and waiting, or handed to the driver. Training shows which staff have finished the lessons, and who's overdue. Phones lists each device and when it was last active, so you can spot one that's gone quiet. Export saves your records as a spreadsheet, for the dates you pick. That's the dashboard. Access is coming soon, so register your interest on the CheersEmpties website.
